Liljeholmens Stearinfabrik launches classic candles in a rich new tone
For autumn 2025, Liljeholmens Stearinfabrik is introducing three classic candles in a new shade – Deep wine red.
Our Crown Candles, Christina Antique Candles, and Pillar Candles now come in a deep, elegant tone that reflects the season’s interior trends and brings atmosphere with style.
A colour that brings life to the home
Wine red shades have a natural place in the autumn palette – a deep and vibrant colour that enhances natural materials such as wood, linen, and metal. It creates a cosy yet sophisticated impression and is equally suited for autumn table settings and the more festive occasions of the winter season.
“The wine red colour is bold yet timeless – it adds character without dominating. For us, it’s a natural addition to our assortment for autumn,” says Britta Palmqvist Hugosson, Product Manager at Liljeholmens Stearinfabrik.
Three classics in a new colour
The new candles are made from 100% stearin and dipped in a rich wine red shade.
- Crown Candles – 20 cm in length, 23 mm in diameter, with a burn time of 7.5 hours. Sold in packs of 4 (approx. price: SEK 52) and packs of 8 (approx. price: SEK 77).
- Christina Antique Candles – 25.5 cm in length, 22 mm in diameter, with a burn time of 6.5 hours. Sold in packs of 4 (approx. price: SEK 40).
- Pillar Candles – Available in sizes 68x100 mm with a burn time of approx. 30 hours and 68x150 mm with a burn time of approx. 50 hours. Sold individually (approx. price: SEK 34 and SEK 49 respectively).
The Crown Candles and Christina Antique Candles are produced at Liljeholmens’ factory in Oskarshamn, while the pillar candles are manufactured at our sister factory in Portugal. All three new products carry the Swan Nordic Eco-label, meeting high environmental and quality standards. The pillar candles are also RAL certified. The cardboard packaging for the dinner candles is eco-certified and carefully designed with consideration for both the product and sustainability.
Stearin – the sustainable choice for candles
Stearin is a renewable and resource-efficient material that provides a stable flame with low soot levels. Unlike paraffin – which is fossil-based – and palm stearin, which cannot carry the Swan Nordic Eco-label, the stearin used in Liljeholmens candles is a carefully controlled material choice. It burns with a clean flame, high light intensity, and minimal environmental impact.
